Introducing 4-H Spin Clubs!

Forest County 4-H is excited to announce the development of a variety of SPIN club opportunities this summer for Forest County youth.  SPIN Club’s are Special Interest clubs where four or more young people learn about a topic of interest.  Topics vary and include interests such as nature, heritage arts, science, photography, gardening, shooting sports and more.  SPIN clubs are led by 4-H leaders and/or volunteers who have a passion and want to share their knowledge with young people.

Forest County’s summer 2018 SPIN clubs include the following:
Garden Detective Club (youth entering 3rd – 5th grades)
All About Pets (youth entering 1st – 5th grades)
Klippity-Klop Horse Club (youth entering 3rd – 12th grades)
Maps & Apps (youth entering 6th – 12th grades)
Robotics Crandon (youth entering 3rd – 5th grades)
Robotics Laona (youth entering 3rd-5th grades)
Robotics Wabeno (youth entering 3rd-5th grades)

Each of the SPIN clubs have limited registration beginning Monday, May 21st and ending June 1st, or when class meets capacity.  Registration is available online at https://forest.extension.wisc.edu or by calling Michelle at 715-478-7797.  Flyers are also being distributed through each school district.  Please note that transportation is not provided.  It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to arrange for transportation to and from the 4-H Spin clubs.

Forest County is also looking for SPIN club volunteer leaders.  SPIN clubs are planned around the volunteer leader’s availability with a minimum of six contact hours.  Meeting dates and times are set by you!  The meeting location is selected for the type of activity and number of participants. Please consider sharing your talents and making a difference in the life of a Forest county youth.   Spin Club volunteer information is also available on our website at http://forest.uwex.ed/ or you may call Michelle at 715-478-7797.
